To say our upcoming featured partner is ‘impressive’ would be a gross understatement! Kyndall Durakovic Bauer is a first-generation cattle farmer who single-handedly owns and operates KD Cattle Co. in Central Florida.
Being a first-generation ranch comes with its challenges which is why Kyndall is always striving to learn more by researching, attending seminars and maintaining strong relationships with ranchers in the community and local veterinarians. She expertly manages the BQA-certified small-scale ranch that sells beef direct-to-consumer, provides replacement heifers, and breeds Hereford, Angus, and Brahman cows. As if that wasn’t enough – Kyndall also manages a small herd of registered cracker cattle!
An active participant of associations such as the Florida Cattlemen’s Association – Cattlewomen, and Pasco County Cattlemens Association – CattleWomen, and a guest on podcasts like The Rural Women, Kyndall is fervent about preserving the rancher way of life and sharing stories of Florida’s agriculture and beautiful natural spaces. She whole-heartedly welcomes messages from others who share her passions, both as fellow agriculturalists, and as people simply wanting to learn more about where their food comes from!
But it wasn’t so long ago that Durakovic Bauer was participating in the Future Farmers of America as a student, where she fell in love with agriculture and decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida. Kyndall graduated with a degree in Agricultural Education & Communication and a vision: She was going to elevate KD Cattle Co. into a multifaceted and versatile business operation!
With an occasional helping hand from her husband, Durakovic Bauer works regularly with the cattle to keep them happy and healthy, which includes vaccinations, deworming, breeding, and a year-round quality mineral program. As a first-generation rancher, Durakovic Bauer has had to work hard to build her own authentic relationships in the agriculture industry. While forging her own path she has been able to build her own reputation and credibility from the ground up.
Nevertheless, Kyndall Durakovic Bauer is forging her own path doing what she loves. If that’s not #goals, we don’t know what is!
